Introduction to Age of Athena

Age of Athena is a video slot developed by G. Games, designed around the theme of the legendary Greek goddess. Gameplay takes place on 5 reels and 4 rows, using a ‘ways’ mechanism that pays from left to right. Players can enjoy this slot with stakes starting at £0.10 and rising to a maximum of £2.00 per spin.

Getting Started: How to Play

To begin, players choose their preferred bet size. The game can be played by selecting the desired stake, then starting the reels using the Spin button. Bet sizes can be increased or decreased with the bet control buttons. Additional controls are available for accessing the paytable, toggling game sounds, and entering the main game screen.

  • Select Bet Amount: Adjust the stake between £0.10 and £2.00.
  • Start Playing: Press the Spin button to begin a round.
  • View Paytable: Use the "?" button for symbol values and rules.
  • Audio Settings: Turn game sounds on or off as preferred.
  • Main Menu: Use the return button to access other game features.

Understanding Ways to Win

Age of Athena pays for combinations formed from left to right across the reels. Only the highest win per way is paid, and wins on separate ways are added together to form the total round win.

Special Symbols and Features

The Scatter Symbol and Free Spins

The BOAT symbol serves as the scatter. Landing three or more scatters anywhere on the reels triggers the Free Spins feature. Depending on how many scatters land, players are awarded:

  • 3 scatters — 10 free spins
  • 4 scatters — 15 free spins
  • 5 scatters — 25 free spins

During free spins, three or more reels containing ATHENA symbols will produce a win, even if these symbols do not appear on consecutive reels. Free spins can be retriggered when three or more BOAT scatter symbols land during the feature, with additional spins awarded according to the same table. Free spins rounds are played using the same stake and reel configuration as the game round which triggered them.

The Money Respin Feature

When six or more OLIVE symbols appear in a spin, the Money Respin feature activates. During this feature, only OLIVE symbols remain on the reels. Players receive three respins, which reset to three each time an OLIVE symbol lands. The feature ends when no new OLIVE symbols appear for three consecutive spins. The prizes shown on all visible OLIVE symbols are then added together and awarded.

Certain OLIVE symbols may also display MINI, MINOR, MAJOR, or GRAND labels. Landing one of these awards the prize value shown above the reels for that symbol during the feature.

Maximum Win and Win Caps

The maximum win on Age of Athena is capped at 1250 times the player’s stake. Winnings exceeding this will be limited to the maximum payout. It is possible for the game operator to set a different win cap; if in doubt, players should contact the operator for clarification.

Interruption and Malfunction Policy

If a game is interrupted and not completed within 1 day, it will end automatically. Any winnings accumulated up to the interruption will be granted. In cases of malfunction or manipulation, the operator has the right to void bets and withhold winnings. Malfunctions include errors in pay tables, odds, or when the game does not operate according to its published rules.

Age of Athena Strategy

There is no Age of Athena strategy that can guarantee a win. Like other online slots, the outcome of each spin is determined randomly, so previous results do not influence what happens next.

The most useful Age of Athena strategy is to understand how the slot works before playing. Check the RTP, volatility, paylines and available features so you know what to expect from the game. These details can help you decide whether Age of Athena suits your preferences, but they do not increase your chances of winning on an individual spin.
